Lusaka urges LREB counties to prioritise flagship projects
Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on Lake Region Economic Bloc (LREB) counties to focus on implementing transformative flagship projects that address the specific needs of the bloc’s 14 member counties.
Speaking on the second day of the ongoing LREB Summit at Alupe University in Busia County, Governor Lusaka highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving economic empowerment across the region.
“As the LREB region, we should execute key pillar projects that are impactful to our region and especially for our people,” he stated.
Governor Lusaka also proposed that the bloc conduct progress assessments of member counties’ pillar projects after every summit to ensure optimal outcomes.
The three-day summit, hosted by Busia Governor Dr. Paul Otuoma, has brought together key stakeholders and leaders to discuss innovative solutions to enhance food security and address the growing challenges of climate change within the region.
The event underscores the region’s commitment to fostering development through collective action and strategic interventions.
