Kivaywa High to receive KSh30m, MP Nabii Nabwera promises
The giant Friends School Kivaywa Boys High is set to receive Kshs30 million for construction of a modern storey dormitory, area Member of Parliament (MP) Nabii Nabwera has said..
Nabwera said the money will be available in the next financial allocation and called for prudence in expenditure.
He also called on the relevant stakeholders to positively support the school to achieve its academic goals calling on the school administration to invest much in academic activities.
The first time legislator who has revolutionised academic standards of schools in his area also offered to sponsor the teachers on an academic trip during the coming half term break.
Leaders, among them Kakamega County Assembly Majority Chief Whip Bernard Bokanda and his Minority counterpart Titus Kwoma hailed the MP’s decision to come to the rescue of the school urging him to invest much in it as it is one of the biggest in the constituency.
The adminstration of the extra county school under Simon Kangwana hailed the move and thanked the MP for his solid support promising best performance in return.
Kangwana called on parents to make fees payment on time to enable smooth running saying it was not healthy to sent students home for fees.
