Rachael Ruto launnches digital hub at Butere Girls

Kakamega Deputy Governor Ayub Savula has urged Butere Girls students to work hard to attain grades ‘A’ being a national school besides being patronised and monitored closely by First Lady Rachel Ruto.

Speaking during the launch of the digital hub at the school Savula lauded the First Lady Rachael Ruto who came to grace the occasion and for bringing the mentorship every year .

“I have heard you coming in this school every year. You are mentoring these students to become better leaders and professionals in future,” the DG said.

Savula pointed out that the school has so many tribes but are there as a Kenyan and a student in a national school.

“As leaders we must emulate the president of the Republic of Kenya His Excellency William Ruto over the advise he is giving us young general leaders. We should understand we are Kenyans.” He stated.

Butere girls which is a national school the DG advised students to study beyond their brains or tribe and warned them against leaders talking kingpin of a particular tribe.

He cautioned students to keep off such leaders instead focus in education, focus in building the republic of Kenya as advised by the president and focus on the digital economy.

“Many of you am sure you will join universities abroad, you will meet your colleagues there and the only language you will speak is English and discussing digital issues. Lets help the president to unite Kenya and build the economy so that all of us can benefit.” He explained.

The DG said is delighted for the implementation of the the digital economy which has nothing to do with our tribes, colour and religions whether Muslims or Christians will only achieve a progressive agenda of being digitalized in this world.

” It always gives me much joy and pleasure to come back to Butere girls. Each visit and a vox memories and affirms my appreciation to all teachers and staff for the strong foundation they layed in our lives, as the alumni.” First lady said.

Mrs. Ruto who appreciates more than enough said president Ruto is a believer that alumni should always give back to their schools.

” On behalf of Butere girls an alumni I thank the CS for the Ministry of Information and the Digital Economy Eliud Owalo and your team from Konza city for setting up this digital hub that will enable our students to enhance their digital skills.” Said the first lady.

The world economic forum future of jobs report of 2016 spelt out a challenging future for the digital unfit and a great opportunity for the digital side.

The bottom up economic transformation agenda also captures the seriousness of digitalization and its digital and creative economic pillar.

She lauded the CS Owalo for the implementation of the Jitume digital hub across the country and this one at Butere girls being the 83rd digital hub in Kenya.

The digital hub will provide students with relevant skills that will prepare them for the digital Kenya to encounter after finishing there studies at the school.

” It will enable you to learn and enhance your computer skills for general knowledge and for those who will take computer studies as examinable course.” First lady revealed.
