Interior Ministry briefs Mudavadi on key issues

The Ministry of Interior and National Coordination has briefed new boss, Musalia Mudavadi on key issues and programmes.

In a crucial meeting held at the ministry’s offices, Mudavadi was briefed by the Principal Secretary for State Department for Internal Security and National Administration Raymond Omolo besides other senior ministry officials.

In a statement seen by Mulembe News, Mudavadi said he held talks on the Ministry’s critical government programmes and initiatives.

â€śPS Omolo provided a comprehensive briefing on the country’s current security landscape and outlined the Ministry’s programmes being implemented nationwide,” Mudavadi said in a brief.

Mudavadi was being briefed following his appointment by President William Ruto as the acting Cabinet Secretary for Interior.

Ruto appointed Mudavadi after then CS Kithure Kindiki resigned to take over his new role as the Deputy President.

Kindiki rose to his new role after the then holder, Rigathi Gachagua was removed from office by impeachment.

Mudavadi has come out as the most trusted soldier of the President as he has consistently held various portfolios, including being the only CS spared when Ruto disbanded the whole of his Cabinet.

At that time, Ruto appointed Mudavadi as the acting CS for all the ministries as he put together a new team that included leaders from the Opposition side.
