ODM set to rollout massive nationwide member recruitment drive

By Jackton Shayo

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) county chairmen have announced plans to launch a large-scale membership registration drive across the country in a bid to revitalize the party.

Speaking during a press briefing in Nairobi, Kakamega County Governor H.E. Fernandes Barasa, who addressed the media on behalf of the county chairmen, emphasized that ODM remains a national party committed to stabilizing its political presence. He stated that the party will conduct massive registration of members at the ward level across all counties.

In addition, the county chairmen expressed full support for President William Ruto’s decision to appoint ODM members to the cabinet, viewing it as a positive step towards unity and cooperation in national leadership. They also endorsed the recent leadership changes in the party for the positions of National Chairperson and Acting Deputy Party Leaders.

They further voiced their strong backing for ODM party leader Raila Odingaโ€™s bid for the African Union (AU) Chairmanship, noting that his experience and leadership would be invaluable on the continental stage.
