Lugulu-Makuselwa road set for upgrade as Roads CECM, MP conduct assessment

The residents of Webuye East Sub-County have every reason to smile after the County Government of Bungoma announced plans to revamp the Lugulu-Makuselwa road in the constituency.

This effort, spearheaded by the Department of Roads, Transport, Infrastructure, and Public Works, will involve a comprehensive rehabilitation process including gravelling, compaction, and the installation of a drainage system.

The County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Roads and Public Works, Bonventure Chengeck, along with Webuye East MP Martin Pepela, have inspected the Lugulu, Lukusi, Sinoko to Makuselwa road to assess its maintenance needs.

Chengeck announced that, in partnership with area MP Martin Pepela, they will undertake the maintenance of the 16 km road within a month.

He emphasized the positive relationship with the MP and committed to collaborating on the maintenance of additional roads in the area.

Area MCA Violet Makhanu was also in attendance.
