Vocal Mt Kenya Governor warns politicians taking advantage of GenZ protests to cause chaos
Tharaka Nithi governor Muthomi Njuki now says there are destructive rioters who want to take advantage of the good cause started by Generation Z protestors, clamouring for change as they now turn to theft and vandalism.
Speaking at the Presbyterian College in Rubate, Tharaka Nithi county, where he presided over the 26th graduation ceremony, governor Njuki said there was need to embrace the young people at the decision-making table, while cautioning against those that want to use them to cause chaos.
According to governor Njuki, president William Ruto is willing to change the tide and involve the youth as well as have their ideas in nation building.
The governor has however warned against politicians at the local level who want to take advantage of the demonstrations to settle political scores, calling on the government to take a keen interest in those that are changing the course of the demos called for change.
Njuki warning of a cabal of politicians in the county who are inciting the youth against other leaders.
