Self-help groups to get county funding, Khasandi assures

Self help groups will receive funding from the county government of Kakamega to initiate projects that better their lives.

Chief officer Social Services, Sports, Youth, Gender and Culture Leah Khasandi called for prudence utilisation of the funds to achieve the desired goal.

While addressing at a burial event of Christine Imbogo in Kakoyi village of Malava subcounty,Khasandi asked electorates to support county governor Fernandez Barasa development projects in the area at the same time calling for respect among leaders at all levels.

Deputy governor Ayub Savula on his part said the construction of smart dairy project in the area was complete and that Malava town will soon be upgraded to municipality status hence guaranteeing it major development from the world bank.
