Kenya a beacon of peace and stability, Mudavadi assures as anti-Finance Bill protests rage

Prime Cabinet Secretary and Cabinet Secretary for Foreign and Diaspora Affairs Musalia Mudavadi has reaffirmed Kenya’s steadfast commitment to peace and stability.

He has said Kenya stands as a beacon of hope and resilience within the region and the continent, urging Kenyans to continue collaborating towards a prosperous and harmonious future for all.

He has noted that Kenya’s democratic space and the respect to the rule of law has enhanced peaceful coexistence amongst her people thus inspiring confidence within the global partners.

“We must confront internal challenges head-on through persuasion, logic, and reasoned conversations.” he said.

He underscoring the importance of peaceful conflict resolution and community engagement on matters that touch on the daily lives of the people.

“Our constitution guarantees freedom of expression and it emphasizes on non-violence and constructive dialogue to conflict resolution.” he noted.

Mudavadi was speaking when he opened the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation Conference in Nairobi.

Prime Cabinet Secretary Mudavadi commended the Sri Sathya Sai International Organisation for its impactful humanitarian efforts, particularly highlighting the recent medical outreach across Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

“I witnessed firsthand the dedication of medical volunteers who treated 5600 individuals in just a few days,” he remarked, emphasizing the efficiency and compassion demonstrated in addressing urgent healthcare needs.

Reflecting on the significance of these rapid medical interventions, Mudavadi posed critical questions about traditional healthcare systems. “If left to conventional processes, how long would it take for these individuals to secure formal medical appointments?” he queried, urging a reflection on the profound impact and efficiency achieved through volunteer efforts.

Amidst global challenges such as climate change and societal unrest, Mudavadi lauded the decision to host the conference in Nairobi despite recent local upheavals.

“Kenya has faced its share of challenges, yet hosting this conference here exemplifies our resilience and determination,” he affirmed, advocating for non-violent approaches and constructive dialogue in addressing complex global issues.

Mudavadi highlighted the strategic importance of international cooperation in promoting peace and stability.

“The presence of esteemed delegates and global leaders like High Commissioner Khampa underscores the global solidarity towards overcoming shared challenges,” he stated.

Quoting the foundational principles of Sri Sathya Sai Baba, Mudavadi underscored the organization’s core values of truth, love, peace, and non-violence as guiding principles for global harmony.

“In the face of multifaceted global challenges, collective action rooted in compassion and understanding is crucial,” he emphasized, aligning the conference’s objectives with Kenya’s commitment to sustainable development and inclusive growth.

The Sri Sathya Sai International Organization is a spiritual and humanitarian non-governmental organization founded in India.

It primarily works within the areas of education and humanitarian aid in support to communities.
