UDA stamps authority as Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet camps in Malava
President William Ruto’s Personal Assistant (PA) Farouk Kibet is expected to hold another mega fundriser in Malava constituency in aid of local boda boda operators.
The fundraiser scheduled for June 28 at Matsakha Secondary School, is expected to raise resources to benefit hundreds of operators from the area to boost their businesses.
The enthusiastic operators have expressed optimism that they will indeed smile all the way to improved business after substatial amount being injected in the industry.
Area Member of County Assembly Kevin Mahelo (Butali/Chegulo), who was elected on the United Democratic Alliance party (UDA), has hailed Kibet for being there for the people of Malava since the demise of area MP Malulu Injendi.
Mr Injendi dies early this year while receiving treatment following a short illness.
Kibet has been in the area for over five times on development tours, and this has made him a darling of the people from the area.
Many say his continued engagements with the elctorate will have an impact on who replaces the late as many now are of the opinion he or she must be elected on a government ticket which is the United Democratic Alliance party.
The ticket has attracted seven strong contenders who are likely to battle it out on nominations among them Lawyer Leonard Shimaka, Simon Kangwana, Enock Andanje, and the late MP’s son Rhyan Injendi.
