Malava CDF manager assures residents of transparency, accountability – VIDEO

Malava constituency National Government Constituency Development Fund (NGCDF) manager Humphrey Sechelo has assured the residents of transparency and accountability.

He has assured residents that the funds will be distributed across the constituency while urging the recipients to utilise their respective allocations prudently.

Addressing education stakeholders at a meeting that was attended by Principals and MCAs led by Kakamega County Assembly Leader of Minority David Ndakwa, where over Ksh 23 million was disbursed to schools as bursaries, Sechelo took the opportunity to confirm that all projects that had been started under late MP Moses Malulu Injendi are ongoing.

Among the projects are the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) administration storey building block, Kimang’eti Girls administration, and Lugusi School storey buildings.

More than 49 secondary schools from within the constituency received cheques in the first phase of the programme as the second part targets students from the area who school in institutions outside the constituency.

St Anthony Kakoyi Secondary, a top performing mixed school and under Linnet Kidiga as the principal and Friends School Samitsi Girls under Gladys Mudaki, are among the schools that received the lion’s share of Kshs 2.135 million and 1.095 million respectively.

Shamberere Secondary under the leadership of Laban Sikolia bagged Ksh 1.155 million.
