Shaviya headed to Barasa Cabinet? Let’s wait…

The former Kakamega county Teachers Service Commission director Isaac Shaviya is being widely rumoured to be included in the soon to be named Kakamega cabinet by Governor Fernandes Barasa.

Shaviya, who hails from Chegulo/Butali Ward of Malava sub-county, contested for the parliamentary position in 2017 and lost to incumbent Malulu Injendi.

Currently, he serves on the board of Kitale National Polytechnic after his appointment by President Dr. William Ruto two years ago.

Malava people who are welcoming his appointment, if any, by the governor, hoping that he will be of a solid contribution to the county progress even as he has the political face of Malava.

Last year, two chief officers from the subcounty were relieved of their duties after a lapse of their two year contract.

While the governor transferred Msafiri Kulova to serve as the newly launched Malava municipal council manager,Leah Khasandi is at home.
