Ruto expected in Bungoma to attend burial of Lusaka’s mother
Preparations are in full swing for the burial of Mama Rhoda Namaemba Lusaka, mother to Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka.
Her burial has been set for Friday this week.
Mourners from all walks of life have been visiting Governor Lusaka’s residence to offer their condolences following the passing of the family matriarch.
The body of Mama Rhoda will depart from Delight Funeral Home on Thursday at 9:00 a.m., proceeding to St. Crispinus ACK Cathedral in Bungoma for a requiem mass.
Thereafter, the procession will continue to her home in Mapera village, where an overnight vigil will be held.
The final mass led by ACK Archbishop Jackson Ole Sapit will be conducted on Friday, after which Mama Rhoda will be laid to rest.
Among the dignitaries expected to attend the funeral is President William Ruto.
