Keep off Ruto-Gachagua fallout, concentrate on development, Malava MP advises constituents

Malava residents have been urged against indulging and taking sides in the ongoing national political bickering between President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua.

Area MP Malulu Injendi has observed that the national issues should be left to leaders mandated to address them cautioning the residents against getting involved in the big debate that is threatening to have Gachagua impeached after over 200 MPs supported the move.

Injendi while speaking in his home turf during the commissioning of several school projects, stated that they were keenly following up on the matter and they will make the necessary decision when the right time comes.

He told the constituents to stay off the ravaging fallout and instead concentrate on their constituency development that was key to them.

“Sometimes when your parents (father and mother) are fighting in the house as children you keep off but not far away lest one of them harms the other and if it becomes evident that the two cannot reason together then it is important to initiate a separation to save one of them from getting harmed and in most cases, it is the mother that is saved from the marriage and taken to her uncles lest one of them harms the other. But as MPs we are working on best modalities to foster peace and coexistance between our President and his deputy and we hope it works out but if it fails then we will have to find a solution for peace to prevail,” said the MP.

He called for cooperation between the leaders for the betterment of the country noting that the Kenya Kwanza government was only two years in office.

He said the country needed service delivery of services to Kenyans noting that the ongoing tiff between Ruto and Gachagua threatens to create a stalemate in achieving development and instead, foster bad blood among communities.

“It could be nice if the two came together for the sake of the nation and serve Kenya s as per their campaign promises considering that the cost of living was un favourable to many citizens,” he said.

Locally he announced that he will be talking to the ministry of roads to assign the Chimoi to Ikoli road to his docket after it became a thorny issue with each leader denying to be responsible for its repairs.

“This road has been the talk of the constituency and to silence the cries, I am talking to the ministry of roads to allow me start repairing it to ease movement, but let those accusing me and the MCA that we have rejected to repair the road to get their facts right before blaming us over it,” he said.
