Westlands MP Hon. Tim Wanyonyi was part of the Kenyan delegation that attended the 15th International Catholic Legislators Network (ICLN) meeting in Rome, Italy.
The delegation, led by Speaker Moses Wetangula, embarked on this annual pilgrimage to the Holy See, joining Catholic Members of Parliament from around the world for a series of faith-centered engagements.
The delegation had the privilege of a private audience with Pope Francis at his Apostolic Palace, where they discussed the importance of servant leadership and the role of faith in governance.
The Pope’s emphasis on hope, equality, and compassion left a profound impact on the participants.
Additionally, the Kenyan delegation participated in various engagements hosted by the honorary patron of the conference, His Eminence Cardinal Christoph Schönborn.
The highlight of the pilgrimage was celebrating Holy Mass at the Chapel of the Choir in St. Peter’s Basilica, a sacred experience that deepened the spiritual connection of the attendees.
Hon. Tim Wanyonyi expressed his gratitude for being part of this significant event, noting the inspiration drawn from Pope Francis’ example and the importance of integrating faith into leadership.
The ICLN meeting served as a powerful reminder of the values that guide Catholic legislators in their service to the people.
