Azimio leaders praise President Ruto for nominating Oparanya as CS for MSME

Azimio leaders from the One Kenya Alliance have lauded President William Ruto for nominating former Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya as the Cabinet Secretary for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

Led by Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa, they praised the president for his record of good leadership.

Among the MCAs present were Robert Makhanu, Sylvia Muteshi, and Geoffrey Odiro, representing Kongoni Ward and Marenyo Shianda, who appreciated Oparanya’s unique leadership and commended Ruto for the nomination.

Speaking during the disbursement of Sh. 45 million to women, youth, and persons with disabilities (PWDs) in Ikolomani, Governor Barasa stated that Ruto’s administration does not engage in tribalism and serves regardless of party affiliations.

Governor Barasa announced that the disbursements will be an annual event and assured those who have not benefited this year that they will be considered next year.

He emphasized that the funds are for all groups and not for personal interests.

“The groups registered by the office of the County Executive Committee Member (CECM) for Sports and Social Services, Mophat Mandela, ensure accountability for all projects. We want accountability so that the projects you start can benefit women, youth, and persons with disabilities,” Governor Barasa said.
