Kivaywa transformation appealing, parents heap praises on new Principal

Parents and education stakeholders now say that Friends School Kivaywa High has already regained its glory with the new administration in place.

Having attended recent meetings at the school and based on academic and development already put in place by the new principal Simon Kangwana ,a parent Juma Burudi, who has a son in Form 3 said the change of guard at the institution was timely.

With the new measures where fees is to be deposited directly on the school account than individual mobile money transfers service or at the accounts office,the institution will have reduced financial discrepancies by a higher percent,another parent who sought anonymity and had lost money through such means told mulembe news.

Kangwana, who took over the institution this year, has maintained that academic excellence is his first priority, and he is putting in place programs that will steer academic progress.

A teacher who heads a department at the institution said that he was impressed that he is able to be facilitated on academic matters and this to him serves as a motivation to teachers in his department who have vowed not to disappoint and will give the best out of them ar tge end of the year.

Kangwana also called on stakeholders not to shy away from positively criticising the school and be free to move into his office and share out on any other issue that will impact positively on the smooth running of the school and academic realisation saying an educated society is empowered.

Nabii Nabwera an alumni of the school and member of Parliament for Lugari constituency has promised to at every time extend his helping hand to the school and the most is his decision to fund the construction of a modern storey dormitory estimated to cost Kshs. 30 million.

The mp also recently funded an academic trip for teachers in what is serving as a motivation to them besides rewarding them by handing prizes during an annual general meeting at the school promising Kshs. 100,000 for a teacher whose subject will hit a mean score of 8.
