Sylvester Anami congratulates Oparanya, commends Ruto
Kakamega County 2027 gubernatorial hopeful Dr. Sylvester Anami has welcomed and congratulated former governor Wycliffe Oparanya on his nomination as the new cabinet secretary for SMEs, Cooperatives and Societies.
He commended the President for honouring Kakamega by picking Oparanya for the crucial docket.
Anami said that Oparanya will bring into the Kenya Kwanza administration a wealth of experience in leadership and governance.
Oparanya, Anami said, has the ability to create job opportunities for the large population of the Generation Z who can benefit through SMEs.
In addition, he has a strong belief that his policies will go a long way to reduce the cost of living, reduce opulence in the public sector, and bring accountability and good leadership based on merit and integrity.
He added that he had confidence that, Investment shall be placed in the productive sectors such as agriculture that shall boost food and security, create wealth, growth, well being and livelihoods directly responding to the concerns of the Gen Z.
While wishing Oparanya well in his new assignment, he asked Kenyans and the people from the larger Western region to give him the much needed support saying he was up to task.
