BRIAN SEGO: Unmasking Malulu Injendi, the Malava MP displaying backward, outdated political tactics
By Brian Sego Bomet.
Despicable and cowardly; Malava MP Hon. Malulu Injendi has shown his true colours by resorting to weak and underhanded tactics in a desperate attempt to intimidate his political opponent, the vibrant and courageous ‘Gen Z’ hopeful, Advocate Edgar Busiega Burudi.
Malulu’s latest stunt involved orchestrating a thuggish attack on Busiega’s vehicle and supporter, a pathetic display of his fear and insecurity masked as political strategy.
Malulu’s spineless actions reached a new low when he organised a band of hooligans to vandalise the young man’s vehicle during a funeral service in Chemuche Ward on July 19. This cowardly act occurred as Busiega attended the funeral of Solomon Makunda, the father of his former schoolmate, Rachel Khatsendi. This was not just an attack on Edgar but a disgraceful affront to a solemn occasion, showing Malulu’s complete lack of respect and moral decency.
But Malulu’s attempt to instill fear in Busiega and the youth of Malava has backfired spectacularly. In a powerful show of unity and defiance, the Gen Z community has rallied around Busiega, vowing to repair his vehicle at no cost to him. This act of solidarity not only symbolises their unwavering support for him but also their rejection of Malulu’s bullying tactics.
The MP’s tyrannical grip on Malava is defined by his extreme political intolerance and his propensity for oppression and persecution. His actions are a disgrace to the values of democracy and freedom, embodying a despotic approach that seeks to silence any form of dissent.

By targeting Busiega, a symbol of hope and change for the people, Malulu especially the youth, has exposed his own cowardice and unworthiness as a leader.
The young people of Malava, undeterred by the MP’s antics, have made it clear that they will not be cowed by his futile attempts to intimidate them. Their resolve to stand by Busiega is unwavering, and their message is clear: ‘Malulu’s reign of terror must come to an end’.
It is time for him to be shown the door, never to be allowed to wield his toxic influence over the constituency again.
The ‘climate’ of fear and intimidation that Malulu has cultivated in Malava cannot and will not be tolerated. His supporters, implicated in violent attacks against Busiega and his followers, are equally culpable in this reign of terror.
This sectarianism has only served to deepen the political divide, creating a toxic environment that stifles free expression and democratic engagement.
Malulu’s use of goons to perpetrate violence is a testament to his inability to engage in constructive political discourse. Instead of debating policies and ideas, he resorts to intimidation and fear-mongering. This is not the behavior of a leader; it is the behavior of a tyrant who is afraid of losing his grip on power.
The people of Malava deserve better than a leader who relies on thuggery to maintain his position. They deserve a leader who respects their rights, listens to their concerns, and represents their interests with integrity and honour. Unfortunately, Malulu Injendi is not that leader.
In contrast, Edgar Busiega Burudi represents the future of Malava – a future where politics is not about fear and repression but about hope, progress, and unity. His resilience in the face of Malulu’s cowardly attacks is a testament to his strength and dedication to serving the people of Malava.
His commitment to repairing the damage done, not just to his vehicle but to the very fabric of Malava’s political landscape, is a beacon of hope for all who believe in justice and democracy.
The unfortunate attack is just one in a series of despotic actions by Malulu. His history of bigotry and fanaticism is well-documented, with numerous allegations of his authoritarian tactics coming to light. His intransigence and intolerance have created a climate where opposition is met with hostility and violence, making it clear that he has no place in a democratic society.
The people of Malava must unite to rid themselves of this scourge. It is imperative that they come together to recall Malulu Injendi from office and ensure that he is never again allowed to impose his despotic rule over them.
The time has come for a new era in Malava, one where leaders are chosen for their ability to inspire and uplift, not for their capacity to intimidate and oppress.
Finally, Malulu Injendi’s cowardly attack on Edgar Busiega Burudi is a stark reminder of the lengths to which he will go to maintain his grip on power.
However, his actions have only served to galvanize the youth and the wider community of Malava, who stand resolutely behind the young advocate. It is time for Malulu to be shown the door and for the people of Malava to reclaim their right to a fair and just political process.
Together, they can send a clear message that tyranny and oppression will not be tolerated, and that the future belongs to those who lead with courage and integrity.
