Farouk Kibet Akhonya returns to Malava, vows another UDA victory
Farouk Kibet Akhonya, as he is popularly referred to by the people due to his good heart of supporting many in the society, is back in Malava Constituency, this time to ensure that the ruling United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party candidate for the West Kabras Ward by-election, Elphas Shalakha, secures victory in the poll scheduled for February 26.
The by-election is being held to replace David Ndakwa, who was elected Malava Member of Parliament in November last year.
Kibet’s presence in the area in the recent past has strengthened UDA’s grip, with supporters expressing confidence that Shalakha will emerge victorious.

On Tuesday, the campaign brigade pitched camp in Kamuchisu and Indukusi areas of the ward, spreading the Tutama gospel.
Kibet urged voters to support development-minded leaders rather than tribal chiefs who, he said, had nothing to offer in return.
Ndakwa, on his part, expressed confidence that Shalakha will win by a big margin, insisting that politics of deceit have no space in the area.
