Edgar  Busiega lands powerful position in top DCP organ

Youthful Advocate and politician Edgar Busiega Mwanga has landed a powerful position after being appointed to the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP) top organ.

Edgar, who was the party’s candidate for the Malava Parliamentary seat in the just concluded by-election, ranks among the most influential figures of the party in Mulembe nation.

Before he stepped down for DAP-K’s Seth Panyako in the spirit of the United Opposition, he was poised to give his rivals a run for their money.

His support for Panyako significantly paid out as he was among the most liked and supported candidates.

Even after pulling out of the competition, hundreds still voted for him as they still expressed their admiration and support for him espousing their aspirations. 

“I am honoured to announce my appointment to the National Executive Council (NEC) of the Democracy for the Citizens Party (DCP),” he said as he accepted his appointment.

His appointment was announced by party leader Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday, December 3 at the party head office in Nairobi. 

“I sincerely thank our Party Leadership H.E. Rigathi Gachagua, EGH ; Cleo Malalah and all comrades whose trust and support have made this possible,” Edgar said in his acceptance speech as he promised a vibrant addition to the party.

“I embrace this role with humility and a firm commitment to unity, inclusive leadership, and service to our people. Together, we will strengthen our party’s vision of integrity, accountability, and transformative leadership,” he said.
