Injendi, Shimaka and Kangwana thank President Ruto, Mudavadi for new appointments
The United Democratic Alliance (UDA) aspirants who lost in the party primaries in the Malava by election have thanked President William Ruto for honouring them with key appointments.
Simon Kangwana and Ryan Injendi Malulu have been appointed to diplomatic positions in Uganda and South Africa respectively.
The appointments, announced on Monday by Prime Cabinet Secretary Dr. Musalia Mudavadi, placed Simon Kangwana to serve as Education Attaché at the Kenyan Mission in Uganda, while Rhyan Injendi Malulu heads to South Africa as a Trade Attaché at the Kenyan Embassy in South Africa.
“Namshukuru Rais William Ruto na Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi. Nakumbuka niulipoenda State House, kwenye maongezi yetu kulikuwa na makubaliano kadhaa, na jana nimethibitisha kuwa rais is a man of his word.” said Injendi Malulu.
“President William Ruto, I receive this appointment with loyalty, dedication and full commitment to work hard in realization of the vision of this nation. To my people of Malava, this achievement belongs to all of us.” acknowledged Kangwana.
On Monday, Prime CS Mudavadi paraded Kangwana and Injendi as they personally read their appointment letters to an anxious crowd during the final rally in support of David Ndakwa of UDA.
Mudavadi earlier before the UDA primaries promised to be the advocate for the aspirants who won’t make it.
He reminded them that he had fulfilled his part of the bargain adding that President Ruto had also fulfilled his promises to the aspirants and to the ongoing development projects in Malava.

“Watu wa Malava na watu wa Western Kenya, hii ni ishara kuwa serikali ya Rais Ruto ikiahidi inatenda. Na mimi sio mtu wa kudanganya watu wangu hapana.” Mudavadi said on Monday.
Tuesday during a media briefing at a Kakamega hotel the three aspirants pledged to stand with President Ruto’s Government and work towards the realization of the broader vision for the Kenya Kwanza and Broad Bases government.
Leonard Shimaka was present as he had earlier been appointed as he joins the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) as a new member of the KRA Board of Directors.
“It is an honour to sit in the Kenya Revenue Authority Board courtesy of President William Ruto’s appointment. Collectively with my colleagues we will not let the President down, we have to work around the clock and ensure that KRA meets and surpasses its targets since the economic growth of this country is looking at us.” said Shimaka.
“From a primary school teacher to a high school principal and now serving our nation abroad, my journey reflects the true spirit of humility, dedication, patience and excellent leadership. This is a demonstration that any Kenyan through hard work and faith can rise,” noted Kangwana at the Media briefing.

He told journalists that his first duty once he settles in South Africa is to turn around the tables and ensure that Kenya begins to reap more from the Kenya-South Africa partnerships keeping in mind that we are working towards being and export country than an import economy in the near future.
