Tension in Malava as hired goons unleash terror, allegedly rape woman

Goons believed to have been hired by the United Opposition team ahead of its mega rally set to be held at Malava town today have allegedly raped a woman.

The rally, expected to be graced by DCP Party Leader Rigathi Gachagua, DAP-K leader Eugene Wamalwa, Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Jubilee’s Fred Matiang’i falls on a market day.

The goons are said to have allegedly beaten, tortured and committed the heinous act in the wee morning hours of Friday, November 21, 2025, before proceeding to their meeting point.

Tension is rising in the area following the alleged incident with locals expressing fear for their lives.

This is, even, as the opposition’s candidate Seth Panyako, who is vying on Democratic Action Party of Kenya ticket, is likely to lose to the United Democratic Alliance party aspirant David Ndakwa whose popularity is growing at a lightning speed.

The seat fell vacant following the death of area Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi early this year after a short illness.

Injendi was elected on the Amani National Congress party that has since been folded to join the UDA party.

The area has, interestingly, voted in leaders who have always been seen as pro government.

Farouk Kibet has sustained forays in the area campaigning for Ndakwa.
