The United Democratic Alliance party (UDA) has intensified campaigns for the vacant Malava constituency seat by election to replace the late Mp Malulu Injendi who died early this year slated for November 27th this year.

Late this week, individuals seeking the party’s ticket David Ndakwa,Simon Kangwana, Leornard Shimaka and Rhyan Injedi were invited to Nairobi hustler house and met with the leadership under secretary General Hassan Omar, where it was agreed that there would be no nominations but consensus on choosing who becomes the flag bearer.

They later met the party leader, President William Ruto, accompanied by prime cabinet secretary Musalia Mudavadi at statehouse and affirmed the same.

Sources close have intimated that they will be going back to the statehouse on Monday afternoon, and the president is expected to announce the candidate who will fly the party ticket.

Our source has further revealed that the team has arrived on Shimaka as the candidate, and the other three will be sorted out by the president.

It is not clear whether they will stick to the party or make other moves after the declaration is made public.
