Wajackoyah, Caleb Sunguti step in Malava, to launch strong campaign
Roots Party boss George Luchiri Wajackoyah is expected to land in Malava this Friday to launch strong campaigns for his candidate for the vacant MP seat, Caleb Sunguti.
The seat fell vacant after the death of area MP Moses Malulu Injendi in February this year after serving for close to 15 years.
Sunguti is a veteran politician from the area who, in last general elections, contested on the former defence minister in retired president Uhuru Kenyatta Eugene Wamalwa-led Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K).
Also, in 2017,Sunguti was the running mate of lawyer Michael Osundwa when he gave a stab for the Kakamega county gubernatorial position.
He has over the years been involved in social support, among them paying school fees for bright but needy cases from the area and support to disabled groups availing supportive devices and cash for business growth.
He is the only candidate who has a clear party ticket against the other 32 who have shown interest in the position.
