Malava Boda Boda vows to support Ruto candidate in the by election
Boda boda operators and traders drawn from across Malava constituency have welcomed the empowerment program by the government across the area that is being spearheaded by the president, William Ruto private aide Farouk Kibet for the last three months.
Led by their subcounty chairman Bonface Shinyikha ,the operators have vowed to rally behind a candidate who will seek to replace the late Malava member of Parliament Malulu Injendi on the United Democratic Alliance party so that he can bring more development projects in the area.
More than six candidates are seeking the party ticket among them former Bungoma High School principal Enock Andanje, his Kivaywa counterpart Simon Kangwana, Mombasa based lawyer Leonard Shimaka, West Kabras ward member of county assembly David Ndakwa and the late MP’s son Rhyan Injendi.
Kibet has in the recent pitched tent in the area on development tours and has urged all to unite behind one of them after party primaries.
The contestants have agreed to it, and this has made the party more popular in the area and is likely to bag an early win.
Later this month, the brigade will land in Butali/Chegulo ward for a harambee for the sector that will be held at Matsakha grounds.
