‘Mulembe Nation’ throws weight behind Mudavadi

Leaders drawn from the former Western Province have now thrown their weight behind Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi in what is seen as a move to ensure he stamps his authority in the region.

Led by former Environment Minister Dr Noah Wekesa, the Mulembe leaders assured Mudavadi of their undying support as he joins the ranks of President William Ruto and Raila Odinga in steering the country forward under the Broad-Based Government arrangement.

Tis declaration comes amid murmurs that Mudavadi is being silently and gradually sidelined despite his high-ranking position in the Kenya Kwanza government.

Wekesa who was speaking during the burial of Mama Judith Mwaitsi Maloba, who was the late President Daniel Moi’s top staffer in Sitatunga, Cherangani in Trans Nzoia county, stated that Mudavadi among the soberest and composed leaders the country has produced who should be supported at all costs.

She was also the sister to Mr. Joseph Busiega, the Chief of Staff in the Office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary, Musalia Mudavadi.

The leaders who addressed the mourners assured that the Mulembe nation was fully behind Mudavadi and will continue to support his leadership for the benefit of the region in the coming years.

“We as Luhya leaders are aware of your professional leadership and service delivery and we will continue to support your endeavors in government, because through you we have benefitted from the government and we are set to benefit more. We recognize you as our own son at the helm of government who can represent our ideologies to the government in a professional manner,” he stated.

Wekesa rubbished those politicians dismissing his leadership and being in government that they were no match to his leadership experience, terming them as seeking uncalled political mileage through the backdoor.

“Let us respect our leaders especially our Luhya ones as they are the best we have at the helm of leadership and this trend of bashing and name calling and body shaming is a backward and uncouth behavior rom you upcoming leaders who feel you’re better than everyone else,” he cautioned.

He added that they will ensure that the Mulembe leadership is respected, nurtured and protected from wayward leaders who are out to taint, and scuttle the unity of the Mulembe people.

On his part Mudavadi called on the Kenyans to safeguard and protect their institutions technically hitting out at the disgruntled political class which has kept on bashing the presidency maligning it with lies meant to bring anarchy.

“A country thrives when the institutions that give guidance are respected, nurtured ad protected with the presidency being at the center stage of it all.  We can maintain dignity and decorum as Kenyans that will see us respect and protect our institutions from unnecessary mudslinging and propaganda that sends a bad image of us to the outside world,” he noted.

The Prime Cabinet Secretary said the society of today was mandated to safeguard their institutions instead of being used by a few disgruntled politicians who wants to see the country’s leadership on its knees in the name of settling scores, and called for sobriety was key in driving the country’s development agenda forward.

“Let us be united and not encourage the culture of lies as our daily core. Let us be truthful as it is so important to be as it all sets us free and those senior politicians in this country who have decided to use lies to bring down the government, we are sorry but it will not work as God the Almighty is in control and has Kenya in his heart,” he quipped.
