Internal wrangles bad for ‘Mulembe Nation’, Lusaka warns

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has called on leaders from the Mulembe nation to set aside their differences and forge a united front ahead of the 2027 General Election.

Speaking during a church service at St. John Anglican Church in Ndengelwa, Kanduyi Constituency, Lusaka noted that other regions had already begun consolidating their political bases in preparation for the next polls, while the Mulembe community remained fragmented.

“Other regions are already coming together, yet our people are still engaged in internal wrangles and jostling for positions,” Lusaka lamented.

The Governor also addressed the controversial leasing of Nzoia Sugar Company, terming it a necessary move to revive the struggling miller.

He assured stakeholders that the national government would settle all arrears owed to farmers and workers by June this year.

“Our farmers and workers have endured long periods without pay. The private investor coming in will ensure timely payment, unlike before,” Lusaka stated.
