Lusaka announces Ksh1.5b Kimilili project

Governor Kenneth Lusaka has announced plans for the construction of a new KSh 1.5 billion sewer line in Kimilili Municipality, aimed at improving drainage and sanitation for local residents.
Speaking to congregants at St. Leo Catholic Church in Kimilili, Governor Lusaka confirmed that the National Treasury, in partnership with the African Development Bank, will fund the upgrade of the municipality’s sewer system to enhance sanitation and provide long-term health benefits to the populous sub-county.
“The construction of this sewer line is a vital step towards improving the living conditions of our residents and ensuring better hygiene in Kimilili,” Lusaka stated.
The governor also took the opportunity to urge county leaders to prioritize development over political rhetoric. “It is essential that we, as leaders, focus on the responsibilities entrusted to us and work towards tangible development in our communities,” he emphasized.
During the church service, the governor pledged KSh 1 million towards the purchase of a bus for St. Leo Catholic Church and donated 50 bags of cement to aid in the church’s ongoing renovations.
