Right direction, Lusaka hails Ruto-Raila partnership

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has commended the newfound political partnership between President William Ruto and ODM leader Raila Odinga, terming it a significant step towards national unity.

Speaking during an interdenominational mass at Tebeswet Primary School in Kiplombe, Uasin Gishu, Lusaka emphasized the need for inclusivity, noting that the narrow margin in the last presidential election underscored the importance of working together.

ā€œOdinga commands a vast support base, and his followers deserve to feel included in government,ā€ he stated.

The governor further lauded Odinga’s patriotism, citing his decision to withdraw from the African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship race in the interest of Africa’s unity.

According to Lusaka, Odinga’s move prevented a postponement of the elections by a year, demonstrating his commitment to the continent’s progress.

Lusaka urged other opposition leaders to follow Odinga’s example and work with the government for the nation’s prosperity.
