IG Sacco announces dividend payout

The Invest and Grow (IG) Sacco has announced to its members that the highly awaited dividend payout is finally here.
The Sacco, which boasts of an active membership of 28,796 out of which 16,623 are FOSA salary earners, with an asset base of over KSh14.6 billion, is one of the fastest growing institutions in the country.
The Sacco assets have grown from KSh14.1 Billion in 2023 to KSh14.6 Billion in 2024 realizing a positive variance of 4 per cent (KSh565 Million).
Its income increased to KSh1.99 Billion in 2024 compared to KSh1.91 Billion in 2023 thus a positive variance of 4 per cent (KSh83 Million).
At the same time, its loan portfolio increased to KSh12.3 Billion from KSh10.5 Billion in 2023 thus a positive variance of 17 per cent (KSh1.8 Billion).
IG recorded growth in Investment based loans by 16 per cent compared to last year’s while Income based loans increased by 24 per cent. Generally, credit disbursed increased by 20 per cent.
“The Sacco asset base grew through continuous contribution towards share capital and other monthly subscriptions to Non-withdrawable Deposits as guided by our strategic plan. Loan portfolio increased to 17 per cent due to high uptake of loans facilitated by continuous review of credit policy that has enabled members to access more affordable credit.
“Credit disbursed as at December 2024 increased by (20pc) being KSh1.8 Billion whereby it increased to
KSh.10,426,139,748 Billion from KSh.8,668,042,464 Billion,” says the Sacco chairman Kennedy Keya during the 2025 Annual Delegate Meeting held on February 28 at Golf Hotel, Kakamega.

This year, members can access their dividends through mobile banking Pesa Pepe platforms via *879# or *806# or *879*#.
Members are expected to pocket 17 per cent on Share Capital, 15 per cent on Investment/Plaza Shares and 12.2 per cent on Non-Withdrawable Deposits.
Dividends are rewards that a member earns on their investment and savings, in which case, the higher a member saves, the higher they earn.
The percentage rate of a dividend is calculated as per the profit the Sacco makes for a particular year.
