Luhyas to show Kikuyus dust in population, play key role in Kenya’s politics – Lusaka

The Mulembe nation will surpass their Kikuyu counter parts in the coming population census Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has said.

Speaking during an interdenominational church service and funds drive In Hamisi, Vihiga where he represented the president Lusaka said that in the region has been in the past undercounted saying this census will prove many wrong.

“We know in the past we have been placed number two despite our numerical strength but this time round we are upbeat we will be the most populous in the country, ” Said Lusaka..

The governor said owing to that fact, the luhya community will play a key role and act as a game changer in the next elections.

” Our numbers place us at a strategic position in the Kenyan politics, “Said Lusaka.

The governor called on the Mulembe nation to unite and forge one political stand in order to be respected in the next political arrangements.

He said as Western Kenya governors they had already United in supporting President William Ruto and ensuring infrastructure development for the residents.

The governor was optimistic that President Ruto will win the next elections saying the coalition uniting to block his re electiion bid was very weak.

He said the president had tried in fixing so many problems that his predecessors Were unable.
