Maseno School tops Nyanza in 2024 KCSE

They went to exam room to win, to fight, to conquer, to thrive, to survive to prosper and to rise.

Maseno School are the champions of Nyanza region schools in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Examination (KCSE) with a mean of 9.72 an equivalent of grade B+.

They beat Maranda High, Riokindo Boys, Oriero Boys, Kanga High, and Nyakoiba Mixed to emerge top.

Under the leadership of Peter Owino, OGW, the school transited 669 out of the total candidature of 678 directly to university ( 98.6% up from 97.7% in 2023).

The upward trend has been consistent with the institution managing to send 511 directly to universities in 2023 and 539 in 2022.

The good results are attributed to the cooperation between the teachers,parents, and all education stakeholders who have created a mutual working relationship with Owino at the steering.

In the exams, 36 students managed an A plain, 161 A-, 226 B+, 149 B plain, 51 C+, and only seven students got C plain with two getting C- as the last grade.

Among the top four scorer were Omira Justine Ochieng, Vincent Kipkemboi, Lunani Ian Muteti, and Nge’tich Mark Kiprotich all who Scored an A plain of 84 points.

Owino believes that the sky is no longer the limit, and they are headed for the best in the years to come.
