Panyako under siege as Nurses bay for his blood, want him out of union
The Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) Secretary General Seth Panyako is a man under siege, and it seems his services are no longer needed at the union, where members now claim he is a Kenya Kwanza mole.
Those against Panyako leadership style accuse him of running the union like a personal property and, to the extent, misusing properties among them cars.
Panyako is said to be going to bed daily with the government for personal monetary gains, which he uses to fund his campaigns and pay loans in millions of shillings.
Additionally, claims of negotiating with county governments across whenever a strike is to take place to make a kill out of it have emerged.
Panyako is said to have populated the union payroll with names of his cronies and individuals believed to be close to his heart, who are used as conduits to siphon the union cash.
While some have threatened to fight from within, most members have confirmed leaving the union even as they termed it a painful decision joining rival outfits.
Panyako, who is still healing from two political defeats having contested for the Kakmega senatorial position in the year 2017 and lost to Cleophas Malala and Malava MP seat in 2022 where Injendi was declared winner with Panyako contesting the outcome of both elections in court.
It is said that auctioneers are on his neck to claim costs.
A close confidant and associate confirmed that he is under pressure from close family members to quit politics as his own Abatovo clan opted to endorse Bungoma High School Chief principal Dr. Enock Andanje for Malava MP seat.
