JASUSI MUSA: Governor Barasa has failed, disrespected Malava residents

By Jasusi Musa.

I wish to express my deep concern and disappointment over the clear imbalance in the Field Marshal recruitment process, particularly in Malava, where deserving individuals have been overlooked.

Governor Fernandes Barasa and his administration, including the local MCAs of Kakamega County, seem to have taken a slippery route in handling these matters.

It is deeply troubling that despite the desperate need for fairness and opportunity in our communities, leaders we entrusted to represent us have failed in their responsibilities.

Equally disheartening is the gross misappropriation of public funds, with reports indicating that local leaders have misused over KSh1 million of bursary cash, which was meant to support needy students.

This disregard for transparency, equity, and accountability is a betrayal of the public trust.

We demand a full investigation and accountability from Governor Barasa and the implicated MCAs. The people of Malava and Kakamega County deserve leaders who prioritise their welfare over self-interest.

We will not remain silent as our rights are ignored and resources looted. The time for action and reform is now my people.
