Sakaja shows Ruto around Korogocho as President launches Nairobi River Regeneration project
President William Ruto had the privilege of experiencing the atmosphere of Nairobi City and interacting with city residents when he toured a section of Korogocho estate in the company of Governor Johnson Sakaja.
Korogocho is one of the most populated and cosmopolitan estates in the City, and home to hardworking Kenyans who contribute immensely to the growth of the City.
And on September 12, Governor Sakaja joined President Ruto at the launch of the Nairobi River Regeneration Project in Korogocho.
The Nairobi River Regeneration Project is a major step in the right direction for solving more environmental issues and restoring the city’s waterways.
While acknowledging the program’s beneficial effects, Governor Sakaja gave residents of the City confidence that it will continue to be successful and provide young people with job opportunities.
Young men and women will participate in vital environmental and infrastructure projects in their communities as part of this program. By incorporating young people in the construction of bridges, green space development, infrastructure improvement, and tree planting.
Over 200,000 jobs for young people will be made available by Climate WorX, with 20,000 of those positions being available in Nairobi alone.
The Nairobi River in Nairobi County will be the starting point of the CRSP’s first phase.
The phase will concentrate on stringent environmental enforcement and will be overseen by the Nairobi River Commission.
