Malava residents push for one of their own to be in Ruto’s administration

Residents of Malava constituency in Kakamega county now want one of their own in the president William Ruto led Kenya Kwanza administration saying they overwhelmingly voted for it.
Ruto got nearly 30,000 votes in the area and to the shock of many most of the positions have been given to individuals from areas in Kakamega that did not vote for the most recent being that of former governor Wycliffe Oparanya whose constituency of Butere vote the Azimuo candidate Raila Odinga to the last man.
Tom Nakitari, who led the team that spoke to the media, says the position of principal secretary held by Dr. Beatrice Inyangala doesn’t reflect the face of Malava.
Inyangala hails from Navakholo constituency but is married in Malava, and she rarely visits the area since her appointment.
Benjamin Nalwa is among individuals being fronted for appointment to any top position in the Kenya Kwanza administration.
Nalwa, they say, will have the interests of the people of Malava at heart.
