Malava MP Malulu, fire spitting rival Busiega share same stage hours after chaos

This is after the two groups who could not see eye to eye finally met at the funeral of the late NJomo Lumbasi at Mache sub location in East Kabras location Chemuche amid high tension where each side was wary of each other.

The MP who was first to arrive at the funeral was welcomed by the locals and an hour later Busiega’s team arrived to the venue.

Busiega and team then proceeded to pay their last respect to the deceased after which they moved to the main dais where the Mp and other guests were sitting and started greeting people including the MP of which the crowd cheered seeing the two shaking hands.

Unlike yesterday the crowd was cool, but you could have heard a pin drop as every one was skeptical of each other.

When the Mca Chemuche Ward was called upon to steer the administration programme, he welcomed welcomed any visitor who had been sent by any politicians to represent them at the funeral and it is at that point that Busiega rose and introduced himself after which he expressed that he was there on a friendly basis and not necessarily on a political warpath with the Mp and urged the locals to be calm as all was well.

“ For those who do not know me I am Edgar Burudi Busiega Mwanga your son from across here, I come in peace and my main aim is we have also lost so many relatives at our home and you people have always stood with us  through out and I am also doing the same to show our solidarity together with my father Mp Malulu Injendi, please do not take my coming here with friends as an offence I’m also grieving with you the way the Mp is doing and I don’t think it is wrong to do so  let me kindly give my condolences to the bereaved then we resume our seats”

His cool move diffused the much hypoed tension with allegations that there was a vehicle carrying crude weapons to be used in self-defense incase his supporters were attacked and after a while and with the same show of  respect and solidarity he again bid farewell to them by shaking hands and exiting the venue peacefully amid what many expected as a showdown between the two leaders.

Calm was restored afterwards as local administration and other leaders having wind of what was to transpire at the funeral when given an opportunity to speak criticized the other day fracas and called for truce and unity as the two are a father and a son from the same clan and community.

When the Mp rose to speak he thanked the locals for trusting in him and stated that many people will come seeking his seat but very few will be as loyal as he is to them.

You have seen what these GenZ have done to the country, they entered parliament and with a click of an eye they were all over others eating others sitting on the speakers seat testing the microphones as we scampered for our safety from Parliament, thank God I do not have any ailing disease, I could have had a heart attack, they have even forced our president to revoke the finance bill and reshuffle cabinet, but let then not now take it to this far by also wanting to take us out of power. The President has heard them and they should now give government time to implement what has been passed and agreed upon and they should stop the ongoing protests as they have now been criminalized as goons have taken over raping women and vandalizing properties and businesses, it is nor a laughing matter anymore and as you can see the yesterday drama they even wanted to snatch a microphone from me thanks to my people who blocked them as for the support towards the church which I dearly endeavor I will continue to support it as they have seen me this far”
