No school fee hike, Malava Boys Principal says
Friends School Malava Boys High Chief principal John Wakwabubi has said that he will not subject parents to fees increment.
However, he has urged them to pay fees on time as this will enable smooth running of schools activities.
This comes as some principals plan to hike school fees in third term an initiative that has been fully supported by the Kenya government.
But Wakwabubi whose school is among the best performing in Kakamega County, instead says the government should be timely on releasing of capitation monies and parents to honour fees payment saying it will be sufficient to run school activities.
Wakwabubi, while speaking to Mulembe News on July 5 at his office, called for the need for parents to work on their children’s discipline while at home during holidays while the school plays its role.
He added that the school was highly preparing itself for good performance in the forth coming exams and targets a mean of 7.5.
While hailing area member of Parliament Malulu Injendi for continued support through NGCDF to support projects at the institution, he called on more stakeholders to come on board as it requires more infrastructure following the upsurge in enrolment as currently stands at over 1400 students.
