Malava politician welcomes Ruto’s decision to withdraw Finance Bill
Malava youthful parliamentary hopeful Benjamin Nalwa has welcomed the president William Ruto’s move to withdraw the 2024/25 Finance Bill following public outcry.
Nalwa even though said the decision came late as many lives had already been lost and properties destroyed,it has salvaged a more grave situation that the country was staring at in near future in the wake up of uprising GenerationZ demonstrations.
He called on the president advisors and national intelligence service and security agents to always give the president a true picture of the situation on the ground as this will keep him alert on any eventuality that can arise due to some actions and hence find a quick remedy.
In Malava which is among the areas in Kakamega where the Kenya Kwanza government got highest number of votes, the ground has really shifted and electorates no longer believe that the government can offer a solution to their problems.
The area member of Parliament who voted yes to the bill that has since been withdrawn by the president has been hiding in his house with youth deployed around the compound for fear of an imminent attack from angry electorate who term him as a traitor and now they have promised to teach him a life time political lesson in the 2027 elections by sending him to the political cold for representing himself instead of them.
