Moses Kuria asserts authority as he takes over coordination of Rut’s government

The Public Service, Performance and Delivery Management Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria has now asserted his authority as the one in charge of overseeing government performance and delivery.

The outspoken and fiery CS known for his stand of being steadfast in whatever he does, is now at the centre of President William Ruto’s administration and, the eye of the Head of State in delivering promises made to the people of Kenya.

In his newly expanded duties under Executive Order 2 of 2024 issued by President Ruto, CSKuria is mandated to coordinate all ministries, government departments, and parastatals under the Government Delivery Unit within his ministry.

This coordination aims to ensure alignment with the President’s Bottom-Up Economic Transformation Agenda (BETA).

Towards this end, CS Kuria will oversee the activities of coffee debt payouts recently approved by the Cabinet.

Additionally, he will ensure that stalled government construction projects resume immediately and will lead efforts to improve returns for farmers, putting more money in their pockets.

Further, he will spearhead the fight against illicit brews and drugs. Critical initiatives in this phase include last-mile connectivity to electricity and the Internet and the completion of the 47 County Aggregation and Industrial Parks (CAIPS) across the country.

“I’ll ensure we deliver on all the promises we made to Kenyans during our campaigns in the last general elections. We may have taken longer than expected, but we will deliver under the guidance of His Excellency President William Ruto,” Kuria was quoted as having said.

He added that leaders in various positions should focus on finding solutions to the problems affecting Kenyans, rather than joining in lamentations and making future promises when they have the power to address these issues now.
