Prioritise youth empowerment, rising politician Nalwa tells Malava leaders

Malava constituency’s youthful politician, Benjamin Nalwa, has urged elected leaders to invest significantly in youth activities, emphasizing the need for economic empowerment through government funding.

Nalwa specifically called on the National Government Constituency Development Fund, managed by area Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi, to utilize group funds appropriately for their intended purposes.

Expressing disappointment, Nalwa noted that many young people have resorted to drug abuse due to stress from their poor living conditions.

He emphasised that it is time for today’s leadership to stand in solidarity with the youth by extending a helping hand rather than being dismissive.

Nalwa highlighted the alarming unemployment rate and the fact that many young people live on less than a dollar a day, leaving them in abject poverty and necessitating urgent attention.

Additionally, he advised the youth to form groups and apply for government grants, as well as group loans, to improve their lives.
