Lusaka reshuffles Cabinet, appoints new Chief Officers

  • Engineer Agnes Wachiye has been reassigned from Gender and Sports to Public Service Management.
  • David Wanyonyi Wamamili moves from Education to Trade, While Crispinus Barasa maintains his Finance docket.
  • Governor Lusaka stated that these changes aim to optimise service delivery and leverage the distinct strengths of his officers.

Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka has made major changes in his cabinet, appointing six new Chief Officers to enhance service delivery.

In the latest changes, Engineer Hebert Kibunguchi has been transferred from the Water department to the agriculture docket.

Benedict Emachar moves from Public Management to Education and Vocational Training, while Carolyne Khalayi transitions from Trade to Health.

Engineer Agnes Wachiye has been reassigned from Gender and Sports to Public Service Management.

Bonveture Chengeck retains his position in the roads department, and Douglas Sasita continues to oversee lands, physical planning, housing, and municipalities.

Dr. Andrew Wekesa shifts from Health to Water and Natural Resources, and Dr. Monicah Fedha moves from Agriculture to Gender, Sports, and Culture.

David Wanyonyi Wamamili moves from Education to Trade, While Crispinus Barasa maintains his Finance docket.

The newly appointed Chief Officers are Timothy Wafula for the youth docket, David Maling’a for gender and culture, Rashid Fwamba for housing and municipalities, Andrew Wamukoya for economic planning, Sam Nalwa for education and vocational training, Andrew Musungu for livestock and veterinary services and Everlyne Namalwa was appointed as Gender advisor in the office of the Governor.

Governor Lusaka stated that these changes aim to optimise service delivery and leverage the distinct strengths of his officers.

He expressed confidence in the talents he has chosen and assured residents of improved services.
