Panyako mulls quitting politics

After sensing an early defeat, Seth Panyako, who is the Democratic Action Party of Kenya candidate in the by-election to replace the late Malava Member of Parliament Malulu Injendi, has said that he will quit politics should he lose to the United Democratic Alliance Party aspirant David Ndakwa, whose popularity is rising day in, day out.

Panyako, who spoke to journalists, expressed fears that the government was investing heavily in its candidate, which was giving him an unfair battleground that was tilting the outcome of the election in favour of Ndakwa, indicating that he was ready for the final results.

Last week, the Democracy for the Citizens Party candidate Edgar Busiega withdrew from the race in favour of Panyako, whose political fortunes are dwindling day in, day out as the ground continues to shift in favour of Ndakwa, who is likely to bag an early win.
