Farouk Kibet leads empowerment drive in Bumula, rallies support for Ruto

President William Ruto’s aide, Farouk Kibet, on Friday presided over a women empowerment program at Kimaeti RC Primary School in Bumula Constituency, Bungoma County.

Kibet, who was accompanied by National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetang’ula, Bungoma Governor Kenneth Lusaka, Senate Majority Leader Aaron Cheruiyot and over ten Members of Parliament drawn from across the country, among them David Ndakwa of Malava and Innocent Mugabe of Likuyani, called on residents to support President Ruto’s second term bid.

The leaders said the President had delivered on his promises and that the country was on the right trajectory of development.

During the event, Kibet and the leaders contributed Ksh 1 million for the construction of a classroom at Kimaeti RC Primary School.

Speaking at the event, Kibet said the Kenya Kwanza administration was keen on empowering women groups as a pillar of grassroots economic growth, adding that such programs would be scaled up across the country.

Wetang’ula on his part lauded the President for initiating development projects in Western Kenya, noting that the region had benefited significantly from the current administration.

Governor Lusaka echoed similar sentiments, urging the electorate to remain united and support the government’s development agenda.

The empowerment forum brought together hundreds of women group members from across Bumula Constituency.
