Celebrations as lucky Khetias customer drives away with 6th brand new car

It was pomp and colour as a shopper at the giant Khetias supermarket chain, at the Highway Branch in Bungoma County, was declared the winner of a brand-new car.

The month-old retail competition is among the annual events the supermarket chain holds to reward its loyal customers across the county.

This year’s giveaway marked the sixth vehicle awarded in the Bungoma region as part of the retailer’s ongoing customer appreciation campaign.

Shopper Mwanaisha Ali was declared the lucky winner of a brand-new car during the Khetias customer promotion, becoming the sixth car winner from the county.

The much-hyped retail promotion that began in November last year officially and closed in Bungoma on January 31, rewarding loyal shoppers with various gifts across the company’s five branches in the county.

As the duo of Mshamba and Dem Wa Facebook, who were the masters of ceremony at the auspicious occasion announced Mwanaisha Ali, a frequent shopper at the Khetias Highway Branch, as the overall winner, excitement spread across the outlet as she lacked words to express her feelings after winning the grand prize.

Later, after recovering from the excitement, she narrated how she has been a frequent shopper at the Bungoma outlets.

ā€œI am a weekly shopper at all the branches, usually spending between KSh 50,000 and KSh 100,000. The just-ended promotion came at the right time and after I realised it was on, I stepped up my shopping spree, and thank God it paid off. I am calling on my fellow shoppers to embrace shopping at Khetias outlets as the competition is annual and they might also emerge winners just like me,ā€ she said.

Despite the Bungoma promotion coming to an end, the management disclosed that more cars are set to be given away.

Khetias management further announced that they are taking the campaign to Kakamega before heading to Kisumu County, extending the reward programme to more customers across the region.

The promotion initiative has attracted huge crowds and increased in-store traffic, with shoppers turning up in large numbers, each optimistic about getting an opportunity to win big while at the same time benefiting from other promotional offers.
