You made the right Choice electing Ndakwa, Malava residents lauded
Development in Malava is progressing steadily just two weeks after the by-election that saw UDA candidate David Ndakwa elected as the area MP.
The National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) Director, Naomi Shiyonga, while leading a delegation from the NG-CDF headquarters in Nairobi to inspect various projects within Malava Constituency, lauded residents for electing a government-backed candidate, David Ndakwa.
She said his election was the reason for the immediate and speedy inspection and completion of pending projects within the constituency.
Shiyonga, fondly known as Mama Signal, said it was wise for residents to stand with and support the government of the day, reassuring them that more development initiatives were on the way.
“We appreciate your unwavering support towards the Kenya Kwanza administration, which has now joined ranks with ODM to form a broad-based government led by our able President William Ruto. It is for this reason that the government is keen to develop Malava ahead of the 2027 General Election,” she said.
She called on locals to maintain the same spirit of togetherness in 2027 to enable President William Ruto to secure a second term, noting that this would also attract more development to the region.
The director cautioned residents against being politically misled by the opposition, warning that such decisions could have serious consequences on government support to the constituency.
“You have seen how the government has stood with us since the demise of our MP earlier this year, and development in Malava has been significant throughout. Why would we want to discard the government and join the opposition, which has nothing to offer us? Let us hold our ground and support William Ruto in 2027, and our constituency will transform completely,” she assured.
She cited the ongoing Malava–Navakholo bitumen road, the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) Malava campus, and several other infrastructure projects as clear signs that the government is committed to revamping the constituency.
Mama Signal, who is also preparing for a political comeback in 2027, said it was important for the constituency to remain in government if it hoped to achieve tangible and faster development.
“As you can see, we have traversed the constituency inspecting NG-CDF projects, including an eight-storey classroom block at Malava Comprehensive School in Shirugu Mugai Ward, Kakoyi Junior Secondary School in East Kabras Ward, the construction of a 29-room Imbiakalo Police Station in West Kabras Ward, and four classrooms at Luhokho Primary School donated by the NG-CDF Board at a cost of KSh 8 million in South Kabras Ward. This is the kind of development we want to see in Malava,” she said.
She observed that education was a key priority, hence her office’s donation of KSh 8 million towards the construction of classrooms at Luhokho Primary School.
The delegation included Principal Secretary, State Department for Economic Planning, Bonface Makokha; Chief Executive Officer Yusuf Mbunwa; and NG-CDF Board Chairman Olago Oluoch.
