ODM supports UDA’s Ndakwa for Malava MP
Thousands of the Orange Democratic Movement party members converged at Malava Friends Church to declare support for the United Democratic Alliance party aspirant in the upcoming Malava by-election, David Ndakwa where president William Ruto aide Farouk Kibet and Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa attended.
Kibet, who has put up a spirited campaign for the government candidate in the area, has expressed confidence that Ndakwa will emerge with victory on the 27th November this year election with a landslide if the recent events in the area are to go by.
Barasa, who is the kakamega county party chairman has urged members and loyalists of the party to strongly rally behind Ndakwa.
The race has narrowed down to a two horse,with Ndakwa and the Democratic Action party of Kenya candidate Seth Panyako seen as front runners in an election where more than eight were cleared by the Independent Electoral boundaries Commission.
Last week saw the Democratic Citizens party candidate Edgar Busiega withdrew from race in favour of panyako.
So far, Ndakwa has taken control in over five wards of the seven in the area, namely West Kabras,Shirugu-Mugai, South Kabras, and Chimuche wards.
