Farouk Kibet leads Malava fundraiser, collects KSh8 million for help groups
President William Ruto’s aide Farouk Kibet led leaders in a fundraiser in aid of self-help groups drawn from across South Kabras ward in Malava subcounty of Kakamega county where over KShs8 million was realised.
This is the third time in less than two months that Kibet has visited the area with goodies, and now many say that his presence will impact much on the possible outcome of the by-election likely to be held before the end of this year.
In today’s event, speakers led by the National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa and Kakamega Governor Fernandes Barasa heaped praises to the government on its effort to change the lives of the common people through activities that are all inclusive and called on the opposition to have a constructive agenda than just mere rhetoric and propaganda some which have been unravelled to the shame of planners.

In an area where more than 32 candidates have declared interest to replace the late Mp Malulu Injendi, today so more than seven candidates battle out on the platform showcasing their political prowess while at the same campaigning for the reelection of president Ruto over his soft spot for the people of Malava.
Among those seeking the United Democratic Alliance party ticket are Lawyer Leornard Shimaka, former principal Simon Kangwana, Bungoma high school principal Enock Andanje, the late mp son Rhyan Injendi and West Kabras member of county assembly David Ndakwa all who attended the function.
Kibet has maintained that the party ticket will be handed to the rightful person without any favour.
The area residents seem to be aligning with the government, and the next member of Parliament will be pro government if the current events in the area are anything to go by.
