We’re the government, don’t panic, Mudavadi to supporters

Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi has assured his supporters that they are in the driving seat of the Kenya Kwanza administration and hence should not panic.
Mudavadi who folded his Amani National Congress (ANC) party to form a coalition with United Democratic Alliance (UDA) has defended his move explaining he has a great visio.
Speaking in Malava after delivering a school bus to Friends Secondary School Lugusi, courtesy of President William Ruto as a tribute to the fallen Malava MP Malulu Injendi mid last month, Mudavadi revealed that his fast move to join the UDA was well calculated and timely as he had overseen the same happening with ODM.
Ad true to his word, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) led by Raila Odinga has since joined UDA in a special working relationship.
“As top ANC top party organs we were aware of the scheme being hatched by Raila Odinga to join the serving government and it could have been suicidal if they beat us to it as they could enjoy more benefits if we joined later.
“But now even as we have signed the memorandum of understanding to work with them (ODM), we are sitting squarely and very pretty on the negotiating table as we are the Kenya Kwanza coalition government and we will be the ones dishing out goodies to them and not the other way around,” he said.

The leaders stated that the current government was key on bringing on board all like-minded parties to form a broad and workable government that will serve all Kenyans from across the counties.
“As much as many want to look at it as political inclinations ahead of the 2027 General Elections, we as party leaders want to bring on board our best intellectual members that will assist in bringing development in the country and cushion Kenyans from the harsh economic times being witnessed,” he noted.
He hailed the coming on board of Raila Odinga stating that the three of them were core ODM Principals at some point hence they have unrivaled history as friends.
“Do not practice politics of hatred and accusations as there are no political permanent enemies as it clearly displays between us and ODM party leader and we are opening a new chapter that will also shape the political landscape of this country for the betterment of many Kenyans.
“Despite our failure to capture the African Union Commission (AUC) chairmanship seat in Addis Ababa Ethiopia recently, the government of the day stood with our candidate (Raila Odinga) and that showed how close and willing we wanted the best for him and before that we had extended an olive branch by appointing four of the top ODM members to head key ministries in the Kenya Kwanza government, we have realized that this country is greater than an individual and also that not all people in the opposition are bad and not experienced to lead,” Mudavadi added.
